Michael L. Ranck, President & CEO
Michael Ranck serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County, an association of over 30,000 members and includes the Lansdowne YMCA and Ridley Area YMCA, a preschool inclusion partnership with the DCIU in Marple Township, as well as the School Age Child Care and camp programs in Springfield Township, Delaware County, Pa.
He is responsible for execution of an Annual Campaign, raising over $200,000 for the YMCA CARES Financial Assistance Program. In this position he also makes decisions regarding operations, membership, program quality and development, best business practices, facility improvements, and community collaborations. He works directly with the YMCA Board of Directors and the YMCA Foundation Board of Trustees.
Ranck resides in Springfield, Pa. with his wife and three children.
Christopher Westfahl, Chief Operating Officer
Christopher Westfahl is the Chief Operating Officer of the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County, an Association serving 30,000 members throughout Delaware County, Pennsylvania. In this senior leadership role, Westfahl’s background and expertise in operations; especially organizational leadership and personnel development, allows him to execute his responsibilities in operations and strategies for advancing the Y. He is deeply connected to the community and understands the importance of heading a service-based organization with high levels of satisfaction. Prior to joining the Community YMCA, Westfahl spent 16 years in education management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree from the University of Oklahoma and Masters of Adult Education degree from Widener University.
Barbara Hoy, Finance Director
Barbara Hoy is the Finance Director of the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County, as association of two YMCAs serving more than 30,000 members. Barbara has over 15 years of YMCA leadership experience. She is responsible for the finance and accounting department and handles business relationships in the community focusing on finance, insurance and banking.
Steve Tagert, Chairman, Foundation Board
President, Aqua Pennsylvania
Steve Tagert was promoted to president, Aqua Pennsylvania in January 2012, following 40 years of service. As president, Tagert is responsible for the utility’s overall operations including distribution, production, water treatment and quality, water resources, and maintenance and construction throughout Pennsylvania. He manages a staff of more than 550 employees who provide water and wastewater service to 1.4 million people in 32 counties. Tagert earned his B.S. in construction management from Drexel University.
Brian Leinhauser, Chairman, Operational Board
Founding Partner of The MacMain Law Group, LLC
Brian Leinhauser is a founding Partner of The MacMain Law Group, LLC and serves as Chairman of the Operating Board of the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County. He worked his way through college with the help of his family. After graduating from Villanova University, Brian studied as a Seminarian with the Order of Saint Augustine exploring his possible call to ordained ministry. After leaving the seminary, Brian continued his theology studies at Duquesne University and later taught in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. After teaching, Brian pursued his Juris Doctor degree at Duquesne University. Growing up in Delaware County he was a member of the Community YMCA and upon returning to Delaware County in 2007, he reconnected with the Y as a member and now proudly to serves in a volunteer capacity.
