Dear Community YMCA Member,

We have exciting news to share with you. Today, the Crozer-Keystone Health System announced publicly that it will donate the Springfield HealthPlex Sports Club, transferring operations and ownership, to the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County.  The transition has started, and we will take over operations January 18, 2020.

As we move forward with this partnership, I want to assure you we foresee a very bright, successful future to come.

We believe partnering with Crozer-Keystone will help the YMCA bring our family programming and commitment to health and wellness to a greater segment of our community.  We have great plans for the 175,000 square-foot facility, and our development plan is sure to generate even more community benefit in the near future. The fact that the health system is donating the HealthPlex to the YMCA leaves us with far greater resources to invest in equipment, upgrades and employee talent.

Over time, existing Healthplex members will transition to YMCA membership. We will keep all staff and members continuously updated throughout the transition process. Both Crozer-Keystone and the Y are committed to making this transition and subsequent upgrades seamless, without disruption to services. We will be interviewing for employment with the Y, which will also result in continuity of service.

We are very excited to partner with the Crozer-Keystone Health System, look forward to bring the Y to the Springfield community, and expand our work strengthening our community!
