The tennis program at Springfield YMCA offers leagues and individualized instruction for adults and children, from beginners to experienced players. Our tennis professionals and staff are committed to providing members and guests with the personal attention they need to enhance their time on the courts. Our instructors are focused on challenging and motivating every level of player, and helping everyone improve their game. We strive to provide every tennis player with a positive learning experience in a highly motivating atmosphere through quality instruction and programming.

Springfield YMCA Members can book courts by clicking below. There is an additional fee for Ridley and Lansdowne members so they can only book by calling the front desk at 610.557.YMCA (9622) ext. 3. 

Red Ball

Ages 5-7 yrs

Adult Clinics

Adult Beginner Clinic

For players in between the beginner level but not quite ready for the intermediate level. An advanced beginner has a general understanding of fundamentals but still needs a balance of drilling and match play. There is still an emphasis on technical as well as tactical skills.

Adult Intermediate Clinic

For players ready for the intermediate level. An advanced player has a general understanding of fundamentals but still needs a balance of drilling and match play. There is still an emphasis on technical as well as tactical skills.

Live Ball (18+ years old)

For 3.5 players and up. Clinic is all game-based and high-intensity point play.  Players need to be able to rally and execute shots in doubles and singles situations.

Cardio Tennis (18+ years old)

Saturday 9:00-10:30am

Tuesday 7:00-8:00pm

Swing into this high-energy fitness program that combines the best features of tennis with cardiovascular exercise! The ultimate full body, calorie-burning workout is so much fun, you’ll forget how hard you’re actually working!
